Hello folks, my son and me has recently puchased another 911SC, a 1981 model which has gotten the engine replaced sometime. We got a little confused about what type of engine that is installed, can anyone in here clear up?
The engine code is clearly stamped 930/16, and the case is the casting with the drain plug at the side as on the 3,2. So far this tells us it is a late 83 production 3 liter case.
But the serial number on the same case is *6700148*...and that does not match with what we can find in our litterature...please take a look at the picture of the numbers.
