A lot of up and down (I'll be weary in the legs tomorrow) in a 5km round trip from the car park to the summit, and just under 3hrs to complete (spent a bit of time up there though).
Looks are deceiving, it's only a 300 meter vertical ascent. A geologist friend told me that at one point in the earths history the range was taller than the Himalayas - time and erosion has taken it's toll.
One of the photos has a stone in the foreground with several ripples across it - that same geologist pointed it out to me a few years back. It's a piece of ancient sea bed.
