Found this thread and a few others using the search button. I seem to have plenty of headroom on temps and would like to try the later fan in my 1982 SC. I daily drive my car, minimum of 50 miles a day, and the harmonics between 2200 and 2500rpm drive me nuts. Physically painful.
If I read the other threads correctly, and they are to be believed, the fan diameter is the same between my model and the 964s.
Do I need the housing to go go with the fan or may I install the fan in my SC housing? If I missed an install thread, please don't hesitate to direct me to it. Things like the housing question and whether it physically bolts up to my old stuff, or I need other bits to mate the fan to my stock items.
I'm to worried about the lower airflow. If I need to address cooling, I'll address it thru other means.
