I've seen the demo where they pull apart two pieces of metal that have been bonded and the metal gives before the bond. Awesome stuff.

I've also seen a small chain of bodyshops use it to save money (and not tell customers or Ins companies) only to have a bunch of quarterpanels separate a year later. In their case it was operator error.

Technician > technology.

Plenty of OEMs starting to use this as well.
