After much discussion and thought, we will be adding a garage to our property! First, I want to be able to add this garage to our property
on-screen to see where the best fit would be. My question is in regard the plethora of architectural software that is available. I would prefer to keep the software cost as low as possible. I have seen several references and articles touting the
greatness of 'Chief Architect Home Designer Suite'; however, this may simply be the work of creative review writers.

3D modeling/walkthrough is required for this project as well as incorporating the existing topography. Note: this software will be used STRICTLY for the visualization of the garage in relation to our house (it will not be used to design/construct the garage). Does anyone here have any first-hand experience with using architectural software? Any recommendations from those that have gone before me would be much appreciated.
