If a "mechanic" has caused that damage, I'd expect his service/repair quality to be proportionally reflected. Sloan typically has nice cars that are frequently over-priced. This car appears to be suspect. Anyone who lays down P-car money (especially Sloan P-car money) should see the thing in person, judge for themselves and be completely satisfied with all aspects of the purchase before moving forward.
Several here have been creamed on a car purchase in the past, myself included. If a fella can help someone avoid the same by pointing out concerns, it seems like a reasonable thing to do. As always YMMV.
