We took our conversion van and pop-up-camper around the outside perimeter of Michigan checking out beaches and lighthouses. We also hit up the dune buggie rides on the sand dunes, hit a 4th of July air show, checked out all the big ships at the S. Ste Marie locks, and rode through them on a fireworks ferry cruise at night.
Just really relaxed with no urgent time schedule, and stopped at whatever looked interesting.
