where was it made? If it's MIM, change out the PU's with 60's reissues,  Fender Custom Shop 60s Jazz Bass Pickup Set OVER-WOUND! | eBay the bridge to 60's style threaded saddles,  USA Vintage 60s RI ROAD WORN Fender Jazz Bass BRIDGE 62 Relic $6 OFF! | eBay change out the control panel to two stacked pots instead of 1-1-1.  Fender USA Stack Knob Jazz Bass Control Plate New-Factory Second Slightly Flawed | eBay You should shield everything including the back of the PG and ground everything together while yer at it. I did those things to my MIM fretless and it's a much better sounding bass.
