Ant has a systematic approach that is incredibly good for beginners. In fact, I started with the same exercises that beginners get. The quality of teachers is all over the map, and one that is getting $25/hr is either just starting out (and might be good) or they aren't very good. Studying with a bad teacher is worse than a waste of time - it can actually set you back on the instrument.
