Fellow Pelicans, I just received my new shifter and from all I have read this is easy, so far seems that way, pulled old unit out followed Jwest instructions. Went to stick new unit in the hole dropped in. Their instructions say at that point bolt up 6mm bolts to bracket and make sure spacer plate is still attached, it was,so now the new units sits in the hole higher on the back than the front because of the spacer and the 8mm bolts that came with unit are not long enough for the rear plate mount. This all seems strange, sure I must be over looking something simple. 82 SC
