If you go thru Kingman AZ. stop in to D'z diner on route 66 a step back to the 50s/60s.
Drive thru Jerome AZ. Cool mining history, on the way to Sedona there is a nice walk north of the Sedona into a small side canyon I don't remember the name but it made for a fun day hike.
