Not as crazy as a 911. And who cares about slower? When I used to drive my 911E, it was usually in traffic or in places where I couldn't take advantage of its 250hp on a 2100-lb body. It was insanely fast but it almost never mattered.
Speaking of SC's, I drove a friend's recently. I had only ever driven my E before, so it's not a fair comparison, but the SC was a dog. It was slow and handled like a ton of bricks. Based on that, I'd probably prefer a slow, nice handling 912.
