Were the 996's any more unreliable than other years? Just wondering. I know about the IMS issues - I do my own work, so I could do that pretty easily. Granted, I think a 993 would be more easy to work on (because I'm familiar with my 85 air-cooled car)....but I really wonder how much more difficult a 996 would be?
