As a person who has a penchant for hot hatches, this one is missing the mark. They are trying to tout it as a limited production "super-car" - with a zero to sixty of 7.9 seconds... That's mid-90's cadillac deville territory.
But I'll bet it is fun to drive - really fun. If they want to build a super-car hatch, they need to dive in hard, like in the Peugeot. Don't give a half measure. Do the goofy-yet-somehow-charmingly cool wide body and MUCH more power. Oh, and dump the engine into the middle. Build a very fast, small but wide, ridiculously over powered skate board little bad ass.
Now you have something that people will want 50 of.
