That is exactly what I would do with a Uhaul car trailer.
I'm still tempted to fly and drive her back too. Tools, phone, extra belts, a gas can or two... it would be fun. From Phoenix to Wickenburg to I-40 and look for another back road west. Rt 395 on the back side of the Sierra is gorgeous...exit to So. Tahoe then Rt 50 home.
