Great topic. The funeral of Churchill was a defining moment(I think it was in 1965) much like the death of John F Kennedy. I will always remember the barge that took Churchill's body up the River Thames to his resting place. As mentioned above a savior of the world. As an aside I am currently reading Lincoln by Doris Kearns Goodwin who is another person who had a huge impact on the development of his part of the world.
