True, but not nearly as much fun. I had an F1 gearbox in my Maserati and despised it, and the tiptronic in my Audi is basically a gimmick in my opinion. There's just something special about the connection and control that you get with a true manual. Besides, even if the tip is faster at shifting, I doubt you'd describe a 996TT with a manual gearbox as "slow".
