First year student of the middle east would recognize this overhelming fact. Pity that hubris and arrogance and jingoism deterred our leaders from understanding this oh so many years ago. We cannot will the world's people to want to imitate us no matter how grand we believe our ideals to be. And you don't do it by force ... shish, how long lord, how long...
