Shot in the gut but still fighting, still advancing, lobbing grenades at the enemy. Gets his right arm blown off and is still fighting. I'm telling you, if they put that in a Rambo movie, people would shake their heads and snicker.

I was just listening to an interview with him on NPR yesterday. talking about the damage to the country from excessive partisanship. He was making an analogy about us all being in the same canoe, but paddling in different directions so the boat just goes around in circles. He was saying that it's gotten so bad recently that nothing can be accomplished in the senate and he was retiring.

What an honorable life, serving his country.
