OTOH the speakers that Hans had made apparently are very good, but I don't know if they fit early cars without external grills on the door panels.

I did replace all of my speakers in the doors and rear sides. I went with some of the newer top quality ones out there. The Blau is good stuff but others are in there with them. The only speakers I had reconed were from my in home McIntosh ones.
