The original engine overheated, so a used 70,000 mile engine was installed by Autometrics. During the install, the car was serviced and the Intermediate Shaft Bearing (IMS) was replaced with an upgraded bearing. This is a common weak point on these cars, and if the original bearing fails, it can have catastrophic results. The coolant reservoir was also replaced when the engine was installed.
