Non union work place here, Christmas bonuses are basically the most significant cut of whatever profit the company may have made. Was given out for at Thanksgiving with an awesome BBQ cooked onsite by the owner. The early date lets people shop on Black Friday for Christmas gifts if they want to.

One year, after record profit, we didn't make a profit, you'd be amazed at the ungrateful looks from people that year, they should of realized they were lucky to even get a bonus. Most of those guys don't work here anymore.
