My sons have both hated pink and loved cars, boats, airplanes, trains, sports, etc. My two year old doesn't know a lot of words, but here's some that are very distinct - Porsche, car, airplane, boat, dinosaur, gun, tool, work, baseball, basketball, football, K-State, you get the idea.
A great analogy that I read years ago. At two years old the average girl can open a book and hold it with the pages in the correct orientation and will pretend to read. At two years old the average boy can open a book and tear all of the pages out of it.
