I went for a drive in the 911. A fellow Pelican wanted to record the sound for a ringtone. He thinks he got some ignition interference so looks like we need to try again.
But it was fun to have an excuse to make as much noise as possible up the snake.
I could have gone faster by shifting to 3rd at the bottom but 2nd was louder.
It was starting to rain (and the car does not have wipers installed nor side windows, not to mention the tires are not the best rain tires), so we could only do a couple runs but I took it up to 7,000rpm several times, so I hope there are some usable segments of the recording.
