Installing aftermarket head unit into my Avalanche
Wow, got the kit from Crutchfield to integrate to my car (keep Bose amps and steering wheel controls).
Budgeted 3 hrs for this. It took me that long just to prepare the wiring harness... I welded and shrink tubed everything. Tomorrow I'll do the actual install.
Now i must figure out how to bypass the parking brake lockout feature (Pioneer AVH 3400 BH). Apparently a relay is needed (can't just connect to a power source; Pioneers need power not ground).
Hope its all worth it in the end.
