By the looks of the pictures at other "turn in" events, the spoons being turned in are wall hangers or broken. I would be very surprised if someone turned in an assault spoon just because of the monetary value of it compared to the pittance that the government is offering.

I think there is a maximum of $250 being offered for turned in guns, and I don't know for sure what the policy is on spoons that don't have the registered owner present.

Most of my spoons were bought or traded from freinds who didn't have them registered either.
