I'm fed up.
We are SE Michigan in a 4G area using a Verizon "hotspot" air card.
The thing loses connection every few minutes, decides to disconnect on it's own, and decides to not connect sometimes. Very annoying, and a security risk if doing online money transactions (we don't). The device and the SIM card have already been exchanged with replacements.
Our current plan is about $80/mo. for 8GB.
We still max it out, even with semi-limited video usage.
Netflix is out of the question.
After reviewing an itemized bill, I suspect some of those days of high usage are pure BS.
It costs the ISPs an actual 1/10 of a penny to transmit 1GB.
We are paying 10,000 times that.
ISPs exaggerate the cost of data
"The study showed that each gigabyte of data cost approximately €0.01-0.03 to the provider."
Who is using unlimited plans, and what do they cost?
