Don't have a lot of time but GM and Ford made more GTOs, Mustangs and Camaro etc., in a given years time (60,000 units/yr) than the entire 18 year run of Porsche's 928.
More 911s where made and they are also much more collected.
It is just that the 928 was hated by some at the time but that is all changing as Porsche builds SUVs and 4 doors now which make the 928 a real Porsche by comparison.
When Hemming's Staff is starting to respect the 928, means it is already happening as hundreds of thousands will read the article.
Hemming's also seems to recommend buying the automatic, saying it suits the car well.
