Well, you know how it seems to go sometimes. Fixing the father in laws drivers side window - you know how sometimes they stop giving the 1/4 inch drop when you pull the door handle - and now when you turn the engine over, it idles just fine until you tap the gas, then chug, chug, chug, knock, cough and stop.
Any ideas on the culprit? We disconnected the battery, the airbag plug, and the like to remove the door panel, then zip tied the window regulator line to give a bit more tension so the window would drop as it should. Put the lot back together and - SUPRISE!!! - engine does not idle properly anymore. We are thinking electrical...maybe the variable timing or something? No idea how fixing a window can alter the engine in such a way. Please help, father in law does not yet know the situation and we would love to keep it that way
