I lived my peeve today: I really have issues with most peoples lack of situational awareness, think the hordes that collect around arrival and departure status boards at an airport, oblivious to the fact that they are stopping traffic.
So, I am at Lowes today with a $100 dollar gift certificate from my MIL burning a hole in my pocket. I don't need anything, but I know I want something.
I pass a young man pushing a cart of plywood and he has his son on the cart. Very cute kid, nice guy...I tell him as I pass that watching the two of them brings back a lot of memories. He laughs and asks if I want to drive. Classic, good stuff.
About twenty feet later, a bauble catches my eye and I stop for about five seconds...just enough time for me to block his way. He has a heavy cart so stopping is an event for him.
"Sir, sir, sir..."
I hear him and get the f out of the way, pissed that I was the pouge. I profusely apologize as he and his son go by.
Don't become the peeve.
