I have a set of Ohlins that I bought for my '02 BMW R1150RS. I had them installed for only a couple thousand miles before I decided to sell the bike (I also had an R1100S). They were ordered and set up for me, 170# rider and no bags. So, the preload adjuster is all the way soft in those conditions.
They may fit other models but I could not verify. I remember looking into it at one time (I also have an R1100R).
I think $850 is a fair price and if shipping is invloved, the buyer would be respnsible for that cost.
