I guess I made the informed decision to own and daily drive a Porsche, so therefore I will try to give the car everything it needs to function not only properly, but splendidly. I could save a few bucks using a Fram oil filter, and sam's oil, but I choose Mahle filters with Brad Penn oil because it does the job better.
I don't think I will compromise on engine hoses or other operating systems components, and my other driver is similar to yours.....an F-250 diesel 4x4. When I get in my car, I don't want to worry about checking on my quik fixes to see if they will survive the commute, and if you are driving 600 miles a week, you shouldn't be cutting corners either.
