Good friend of mine did mine a few months ago. Errr...I should add that my friend is a qualified urologist.

Pretty much painless...a few tugs here and there, but mostly we just shot the breeze like we always do while he worked. Followed the post-op instructions to the letter (ice, meds, jock strap, etc) and had no issues. Worked from home the following day and more or less business as usual after that.
