They only outlawed discrimination against a few classes, not
all discrimination. Currently it's race, religion, nat. origin, sexual orientation, gender, handicap, etc. and one or two I'm probably forgetting. They're always looking to add to the protected classes. It's perfectly legal to put up a sign for "non-lawyer parking only" and it's not discriminatory in the least. In fact, there was even a lawsuit in CA years ago where a builder figured it'd be too much hassle to sell to a lawyer, so he refused. Lawyer, of course sued, thereby validating the builder's reason for not selling to him. Builder won because, even in CA, it's not (yet) illegal to discriminate against lawyers.
