All I switched was an LG tv for an older 720p Panasonic. The DVD player (regular not bluray, to tv speakers) is the same, was hooked up with HDMI before so the DVD player worked fine. If I throw in any movie (I tried taken for example) it works fine. The problem is with the so-called "Disney DVDs" or the ones we have that are compilations of multiple episodes of a kids show. The title screen has sound but nothing else. It is so odd b/c the DVD player hasn't changed, so it must be some setting on the tv? Input and audio settings look good.
I've got a bunch of stuff taking up the av cable inputs. I can run audio thru the component in on the tv I've seen so that'll work but it feels like admitting defeat
