Close but not with the Zero really... Still the Buffalo was not anywhere near the class of the others on this list.
The Spitfires first flight was 5 March 1936
The ME-109's first flight was 29 May 1937
The Brewster Buffalo's first flight was 2 Dec 1937
The Zero's first flight was 1 April 1939.
