I actually do this for a living; size, select, and sell them. I represent Fujitsu which competes with the Daikin product. Both good equipment. The Fujitsu might offer lower ambient operating temps, higher efficiencies, and better service. The biggest advantage is availability of parts.
$2500 per ton is a good place to start. I can give you tips on what to look for and expect regardless of brand if needed.
