I've thought about this too, but I don't have another car registered to prove the 911 isn't a daily driver. I've run into a couple of total dick cops in this state - the kind of cops that get off on giving people a hard time just because they can. Seems to me a thirty year old plate is just the kind of thing that gives them an excuse to pull you over because it's something they don't know a thing about. Not worth the potential hassle in my opinion.

In MD they don't care, any car 20 and over can get historic tags and are exempt from all inspections and emissions
