Hey guys, remember me?! It sure has been a while, a lot went on in the past 5 months and the car got the hold put on it. The company I worked for (small investor-funded cancer research) ran out of that all-important 'investor funding' and abruptly closed up shop early August, so I took some time off and spent a lot of time at the shore enjoying being a new dad. The boy is doing great, 8 months now! So then the search was on, thankfully short, and I'm settled into a new place and I'm ready to get back to business.
So where we left off, I had some wicked vibrations that Dean mentioned could be the MM, and I thought he was probably right. So last week, I was digging through some pics and found this:
From what I've read about the mounts and the little hook, they look shot. So the parts are on their way and we'll be swapping them out, and doing the oil pan gasket at the same time. Need to do some serious clean up while I'm under there too. Looks like next weekend is going to be the swap, but I'm going to try to get under there periodically during the week to get the ball rolling.
So we're back it! I'll make sure to get some decent pics of the procedure and report back when I inevitably break something.
