If she is eating mice/rats/rodents then I would say she got one that had been poisoned and had not died yet. We have a Main Coon who did that we figure and he would throw up some like that and also he lost a lot of weight but got over it. I would suggest looking at the FIRST puke pile in close detail to see what is in there. That is the one that matters. Later ones not so much. Cats have a tremendous ability to recover as my daughter, the vet technician has pointed out.
