SLC knows how to handle snow.
My SLC snow story:
Was flying JetBlue from JFK to SFO last winter. Before takeoff, gate agents announce that due to the strength of the jetstream (against us), we will have to make a stop in SLC to refuel. (A fully-loaded A320 can't fly coast to coast with a 200mph headwind).
So we take off from JFK, land at SLC around midnight local time to refuel - along with 3-4 other JetBlue planes doing same. And its SNOWING.
They refuel us, then they have to DE-ICE us.
All told, we were wheels down at SFO around 2am or so and I hit my driveway after 3am.
Long day, but SLC handled it fine.
Safe travels.
