I really don't want to pay more than 3 to 4 k on fixxing up the Targa - it will be a track car in a few years. While a compelet resto would be cool, doing it to a 77 Targa is IMO a bit of a waist (Talking 10K to do it right). The car has some small rust spots and frankly I would rather throw money at a 996 and keep the 77 to play in.
I want it to look better than it does now and according to one body shop, sanding out the rust and filling is one thing, the spots can't be retouched, the whole car needs to be painted.
Ideas? serious one please
