What do you shave with???

Hey...Got my new Merkur 180 Long Handle Safety Razor today with 10 Feather Razor Blades in Hi-Stainless Double edge. WOW, I haven't had such a good shave since, well, I don't know when. I've been an Excel user for over 25 years. I don't have a heavy beard, but I go through 2 or three cartridges a month. Damn things are getting expensive. I saw a blurb on the web about safety razors and although the razor itself can be a little costly, the blades are rather inexpensive. I started looking around on the web, and soon found out Merkur is top of the line. Some can be over $300. The 180 was $33.51 and the blades $7.95. This just isn't a guy thing. Good for you ladies too. There is a little learning curve to use one, (different head angle) but well worth it. I actually found a web site about shaving, learned some stuff, like after you finish shaving, rinse and then a splash of witch hazel. My grandmother used witch hazel every day of her life and her skin was like a baby's butt up till the day she died just short of her 100th birth day. Funny the things you forget and then remember...Any way, it is also recommended to use Williams Shaving Mug Soap. They say a cheap brush is as good as a badger brush. Going to buy a Porsche Mug for the soap. Well, that was my day, what say you??? Have a great weekend. Fritz
