I am thinking about using the two set of wheels, and you are right one has to to for 50 profile to get a "track-tyre"! The R888 would be very nice!
I wonder if any of you have tried the Dunlop fast-response tyre in 195/65-15? I am really content with the Dunlop SP Sport 01 for road-use. They slide easily but are very controllable at the very broad limit of grip...
From what Dunlop says the fast response tyre is very suited to agressive driving in the corners. Which would suit me fine! This is a picture of my other Porsche at the type of roads that are just some kilometers from my home. The roads are tight, curvy and the blacktop is usually broken and full of bumps and holes... The car is a 1981 924 Carrera GT, the tires on this car is Dunlop Sport Maxx.
