928 Info
Hey all!
Okay, here is the situation. I have entered a deal to purchase a 1979 928. It has a few problems (looks like it needs a new thermostat), but the real issue is the milage. I totally forgot to look at the odometer to see how many places it records, but I was told it reads a cool 47K. I have service records from 79-83 & 89-99, and they seem to support this though there is a 10 year gap. Even one of the mechanics made a note in 96 that they found the ultra low milage odd.
So, 928 owners, how many places does the odometer record? Also, anyone know of a place like Carfax that I can get more info from? (Carfax only goes back to 1981).
