Hi Ed,

Engine and gearbox are all fully rebuilt (there is an old thread and photos in the engine building forum dating back to 2004). Engine was built to RS specs and has only done about 5000km. The gearbox was fully rebuilt and had the Wevo gateshift and Streetlite clutch included in the process. I has literally 200km on it as I pulled the car down almost immediately after finishing the box when I located the scary rust.

I'm sitting on the fence right now about getting an amber glass shroud and tinware. Series 900 on the board here does a beautiful version of the old skool race glass...

Hi Tom,

I went through a fair bit of primer... I made mistakes and corrections through out the process. From memory I used about 6 litres - with hardner it is actually about 8 litres in volume. I do have some left for other projects/repairs.

Top coat was 4 litres and 2 litres of hardner. This did the entire car inside and out and left about a litre spare for repairs/touch-ups. Remember, I went with single stage - no clear coat; so if you're doing a metalic the volumes will vary. It's best to rely on advice from the (presumable) pro at the paint shop, and too much is better than being caught short with too little! I also went through about 4 litres of the SKS/stoneguard texture on the underside, engine bay and wheel wells. And 1 litre of satin black for dash and interior. There is well over a $1k (Australian) in just paint.
