It is effective in that it keeps oil from clogging up the airbox, and it significantly reduced my oil consumption. I haven't noticed it running any different. I used a Honda VFR750 crank breather filter on the original hose and tied it next to the air box intake.

Only downside is that I use Motul 300V synth oil which kinda smells like a cookie factory and after you replace the oil, everytime you are stopped with the engine running, you smell that cookie factory smell coming up from under the bodywork.
