I think after there is load on the mounts...the "hooks" will be fine...If I am following you correctly.

You may have to raise the motor more to allow the fresh mounts to bolt up.

As far as the pan and seal...I used a stud kit I had in my parts box for 5 years now. It was very easy as the studs hold the seal in place while you raise the pan.
Those front driver side bolts are a PITA but just take your time. I also removed the alternator bracket and belt. That gives you a little more room to work.

Looking great so far.
