Sorry, but you did the legal equvilent of bringing a knife to a gunfight. It's too complicated to explain here, but the legal standard for overturning your conviction is different than the arguments you made on appeal. You would have done well to buy a lawyer who does a lot of traffic work a beer and chatted with him for a half hour or so before filing your paperwork. It probably wouldn't have made a difference (traffic appeals are notoriously difficult to win) but at least you would have been playing on the same field as the other side.
