Car is now fully and finally polished
I'll post photos below but I doubt the screen will show much difference - but there is!. For the record there is about 8-10 hours in the detailing! But that's just my novice time...
It involved 1500/2000# sandpaper, 3000# 3M Trizact, Maguire's 105 and 205 compounds on wool and foam pads mounted to a rotary polisher, then Menzerna 500/2500/4500 on foam buffs mounted to my DA polisher, and finally carnuba wax. Lots of mistakes were made and steps repeated, but fortunately no burn throughs!
Now I've got to find a good car cover - my garage doesn't keep out dust and it is shared with a family of possums
